The Dorothea Tanning Founation is compiling records pertaining to all of the artist’s works for a comprehensive catalogue raisonné.

Information about each work will include an illustration, title, medium, dimensions, inscriptions, current collection, provenance, exhibition history, references, reproductions, and other relevant notes.

Authentication and Appraisal

The Dorothea Tanning Foundation can only authenticate a work of art by the artist under very specific conditions. If you have a question about a particular work, please contact us with a full description and image of it.

We do not appraise the value of any works of art.
