...the surrealists are in town. Alas, we have no sidewalk cafes for them. So they meet in our houses. Surrealist exhibitions, surrealist games (monitored by André Breton), a surrealist magazine. I play with them: a surrealist movie, Dreams That Money Can Buy, That is Max pulling me out from under the bed. After the war they went back to where they came from, leaving the key on the door. Many others have used it since, but no one has brought in any new furniture....
